10 WWE & AEW Wrestlers Set For A Big 2023

3. Raquel Rodriguez

Speaking of people that Triple H is all in on, it's no secret he saw a lot of potential in Raquel Rodriguez in NXT.

Then going by Raquel Gonzalez, the powerhouse of the women's division went the Diesel route, acting as a heavy for Dakota Kai before building up enough momentum and support for herself. This led to her being the one chosen to end Io Shirai's 304-day reign as NXT Women's Champion.

'Big Mami Cool' proved she could be a major player, but sadly, the usual WWE tropes of a smiley babyface undercut her edge. Although she is still smiling way too much and just seems happy to be there, she has been reasonably well protected since stepping up to SmackDown.

It seems obvious that Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey is the direction for WrestleMania 39, even if it feels like that ship sailed long ago, but there will be opportunities for other talent for the rest of the year. Rodriguez should be top of the list to capitalise on that, and it shouldn't be surprising if she ends 2023 with at least one reign as a singles champion on the main roster.

Lynch seems a dead cert for the Royal Rumble, but if WWE don't want to book the same storyline twice (don't worry, we'll get to it), Rodriquez winning and then challenging Bianca Belair wouldn't be a bad alternative.
