10 WWE & AEW Wrestlers Set For A Big 2023

2. Daniel Garcia

2022 has already been a big year for this young man. 2023 should be even bigger.

We levelled fair criticism at Tony Khan a few entries ago, so now it's time to praise him. When he sees the potential in a wrestler he gives them ample opportunities to shine. No one seems have been given as many opportunities, nor knocked them out of the park as much, as Daniel Garcia.

Currently being fought over by Danielson and Jericho like the last turkey at Thanksgiving, Garcia is being positioned as the prestigious talent he is. He might not be blessed with bucket loads of charisma, but there is a Chris Benoit-esque quality to how smooth he is in the ring.

Remember, Garcia is only 24 years old and made his debut five years ago. The man is a serious talent.

In recent times, AEW has leaned a little too much on the promo side of wrestling, which is where the man might struggle, but working alongside genuine GOAT contenders in 'Le Champion' and the 'American Dragon' will only help Garcia grow.

The fans want him as their hero. The chants of 'you're a wrestler' show they are already behind him, and whatever the outcome of the JAS versus BCC, Garcia will emerge a bigger star. Tony needs to double down on the 'Dragon Slayer' in 2023, and drape the man with some gold. (And not the pointless All-Atlantic Belt!)
