10 WWE & AEW Wrestlers Who DESPERATELY Need A New Direction

5. Bron Breakker

It might seem odd to suggest that a wrestler losing their championship would benefit them, but the time has come to call it a day on Bronn Breakker's NXT title reign.

Bron's time as NXT champion has been an unqualified success, transforming him from Rick Steiner's son into a worthy talent in his own right, but it's time for him to step aside. Bron moving on from the show that made his name would be the best decision for him and NXT as a whole, as NXT has the perfect replacement lined up in Carmelo Hayes.

Hayes has the charisma and ring skills to be a worthy champion (check out his recent belter against Apollo Crews if you haven't already), and having Breakker decisively lose to Carmelo would be the making of the latter. Bron, meanwhile, would be free to move up to the main roster, his reputation already secured by his own lengthy title run.

Bron helped NXT stay afloat during the tumultuous 2.0 rebrand, and the program actually saw its viewership increase while he held the belt. He deserves a fitting send-off, and the chance to spread his wings on the main roster.
