10 WWE And NXT Superstars Who Should Answer John Cena's US Open Challenge

1. Finn Balor

Like Kevin Owens, it's hard to imagine Finn Balor remaining on NXT for too much longer. With Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami out with injuries, there's every chance that he'll remain in the spotlight there for much of 2015, but a main roster debut can't be too far off. Like Neville, Owens, and Zayn, taking on Cena could be a good way to make a notable impact. However, it's hard to say how the WWE will end up marketing Balor's character, and him coming out and losing to Cena on a random Monday could do him more harm than good. Making the match part of his ongoing feud with Owens might be the way to go though. Having the current NXT Champion cost Balor the match would allow him to save face, while also promoting their storyline in NXT (and encouraging WWE fans to check it out in the process). Of course, Cena just laying down the challenge at an upcoming PPV, only to be demolished by a fully painted up Balor would also be a rather exciting direction to take!
