10 WWE Angles To Retire John Cena

5. The New Streak

With The Undertaker having retired, there's a 'Deadman'-shaped hole in future WrestleManias. The Undertaker's streak has been a fixture of the 'Grandaddy Of Them All' for well over a decade but now there will be no more.

It falls to John Cena to establish a new WrestleMania fixture. He seeks out a competitor who could become a WrestleMania performer of The Undertaker's exalted status, but for a new streak to exist, it has to start. Perhaps he chooses a wrestler who has a couple of WrestleMania wins in a row already, or selects someone he thinks can establish a streak from scratch.

And who will be the first victim of the new streak? Cena himself, of course. He makes his challenge for a WrestleMania match and duly becomes the first name in a new legacy of supremacy. The storyline lends some hype and gravitas to a new, talented face for whom the WWE has great hopes, while giving Cena a meaningful final match at 'Mania and an act of altruism to end his run.
