10 WWE Authority Figures Who Weren’t Actually All Bad

8. Shane McMahon (SmackDown Live)

Along with being the hardest man in the known universe (not even just the WWE one), Shane McMahon seems to hold an odd distinction of being the only McMahon most fans actually like to watch perform.

Based on a reputation of 'hard-hitting spirited brawls' (jumping off stuff) in the Attitude Era and the fact he generally seemed a bit less fussed than Vince and Stephanie about constantly being on TV, he's retained a lot of support that saw him well placed for a surprising return from the abyss in early-2016

Positioned effectively as a brand new character, Shane was an ideal candidate to be the smiling gaffer of SmackDown, the show the discerning fan has often gravitated more towards since back when Paul Heyman booked it.

As yin to Stephanie's yang and fearless future Brock-slayer, the Boy Wonder lets the show breeze along at its own pace, only acting to support his GM and the show itself. Cross those stinging lefts and rights of his at your peril, but all round he's a good egg these days, is Shane-O-Mac.
