10 WWE Backstage Friendships That Paid Off For Huge Career Pushes
8. Batista And Triple H
Not even Dave Batista's close friendship with Triple H could prevent his recent stint with the WWE from being a disaster - but it's certainly paid dividends in the past. Of course, Batista's victory at the Royal Rumble earlier this year was on a night where The New Age Outlaws and Randy Orton - also friends of Triple H - picked up wins too. But a large portion of Batista's gold-laden career with the WWE can be attributed to his close friendship with the current COO of the company. Heck, his beginnings with Evolution (a group that featured a bunch of guys who were all close pals) gave him a major push, and he never really looked back from that moment on. When he comes back again (probably later this year), it'll be interesting to see just how much of a push Dave Batista gets from the WWE. His real life allegiance with Triple H didn't do him much good earlier this year - but you get the feeling a main event angle won't be far away when he does make his comeback.
