10 WWE Backstage Friendships That Paid Off For Huge Career Pushes
7. Brutus Beefcake And Hulk Hogan
Back when Hulk Hogan wasn't even a WWE star yet, he formed a friendship with a fellow wrestler that would go on and become a lifelong allegiance. In fact, Hogan's friendship with Brutus Beefcake saw them team together on several occasions throughout their career, with the friendship really pushing Brutus' career to heights it maybe shouldn't have got to. When Hogan left the WWE for WCW in the mid-1990s, Beefcake quickly followed him across the great divide. They even headlined a WCW pay-per-view together, which is a spot plenty of other guys deserved rather than Brutus. The duo (billed as The Mega-Maniacs) actually teamed together at WrestleMania IX in their WWE days, but they would lose against Money Inc. He's had many different characters and gimmicks over the years, but hardly any of them would have seen the light of day had Brutus Beefcake not had that long-standing friendship with Hulk Hogan.
