10 WWE Booking Steps To Make Kevin Owens The Top Guy

7. Give Him His Own Stable

Although Owens has been mainly portrayed as a loner up to this point, there would be absolutely no harm in arming him with some backup to further help him on his quest to win the WWE World Heavyweight title. Owens has been up and down the roads with several different personalities across the wrestling world from his debut on the independent circuit in the early 2000's. WWE are always looking to acquire promising new talent, so why not sign up a couple of workers from his previous stomping ground in ROH, or promote some more talent ready for the main roster from NXT to rub shoulders with him? They key is making sure they all have the same character motivation. In other words, they should be pissed off, hungry, angry young men who have been waiting for years to get a WWE opportunity only to be repeatedly held back in their attempts to do so. With Owens as their general, they finally get an opportunity, and the newly formed alliance use each other to further their own interests, whatever they may be. It isn't rocket science and it's not even the most imaginative booking idea you'll see. But again, it's a simple, tried and tested formula, that in this case wouldn't just do wonders for Owens, but potentially his newly recruited stable-mates too.
