What Happened: In the twilight of his basketball career and shortly after transferring to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Big Shaq appeared as a guest host of Raw in July 2009, electing himself as a special guest enforcer for a match between Cryme Tyme (brief reminder that that was a thing) and then-tag team champs, Chris Jericho and Big Show.

Once the match was done and dusted, O' Neal stepped into the ring to go toe-to-toe with the Big Show, an impressive spectacle that resulted in Shaq shoulder blocking Show right out of the ring. Although it was admittedly ruined by Michael Cole making the whitest commentary call of all time with that “BOOMSHAKALA”....thing.

Why It Worked: Not that we're ones to pander to Vince's Land Of The Giants mentality, but the simple fact is that Shaq is absolutely massive.

He's charismatic enough to carry himself on the mic and so held his own just fine in that regard, but the sight of Big Show having to look someone eye to eye was a sight to behold, and even if the pay-off could have perhaps been a little bit better (we're probably being a bit idealistic in hoping for a Shaq F5 on Paul Wight, right?), it was still a fun moment that justified Shaq's inclusion on the show.
