4. The Undertaker

In 1999, future WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker was amidst his Ministry of Darkness gimmick, something The Dead Man has said in interviews was not a gimmick or story line he enjoyed very much. The Ministry, which included The Brood, Viscera, The Acolytes and Mideon, featured a much more demonic and sinister version of The Undertaker, who would "sacrifice" wrestlers while taking orders from a so-called "higher power."

At Over the Edge in 1999, The Undertaker won his third WWE Title when he defeated Steve Austin, but the title win was overshadowed by the tragic death of Owen Hart, which also took place at the PPV.

While The Undertaker himself has never spoken publicly about winning the WWE Title on the same night that Owen Hart died, one can only assume 'Taker was just as distraught with the event as anyone else, distracting him from any joy which could emanate from a WWE title win.

During the course of the months which followed Undertaker's Title win at Over the Edge, he was dealing with a groin injury, which ultimately lead him to step away from the ring in September of 1999.
