10 WWE Champions With The Worst Finishing Moves

9. The Rock - The People's Elbow

There is no bigger wrestling star than The Rock, and for his incredible, deceptively short run within WWE, he was responsible for some of the greatest moments and promos the company and the fans will ever see.

But let's be honest here, the People's Elbow was a terrible finisher.

Thoroughly underrated for his in-ring ability, the 'Brahma Bull' is fondly remembered as one of, if not, the greatest promo in wrestling. Between the ropes, however, he was sensational, with an arsenal of heavy hitting moves and the ability to turn over-selling into an art form. In his later years, he wisely switched to the Rock Bottom as his finisher, but for a while, he had one of the worst in the business.

Yes, it was over. The fans would explode when he nailed the spinebuster and then stepped to the head of his prone opponent. Summoning the adoration, The Rock removed his elbow pad, did a little dance, bounced off the ropes and then killed all momentum by stopping and dropping an average elbow onto his opponent. That was it.

Imagine if John Cena put his opponents away with the popular Five Knuckle Shuffle.

'Macho Man' Randy Savage proved you could make an elbow drop look deadly, but sadly, the People's Elbow fell way short of being credible. Thankfully, The Rock was a lot more than just his finishing move. A lot more.
