Ooft! Some folks won't like this one being included, but here goes.

There were genuine worries that Sami Zayn weaseling his way into The Bloodline would be a mistake for him and for the Roman Reigns-led faction. After all, it wouldn't make sense if the family blindly accepted some conspiracy theorist who had shown himself to be a top class buffoon for years.

The good news? Jey Uso was booked to shun Sami and question why he was even sniffing around Bloodline business in the first place. That minuscule adjustment to the storyline made something else clear to viewers: Reigns is the one manipulating Zayn, not the other way around.

Segments involving Roman, Sami, both Usos and Solo Sikoa have been a masterclass in character work ever since. Everyone watching knows Zayn is gonna get a kicking from the family at some point - they just don't know when, and neither does he.

Disaster averted.
