10 WWE Divas Who Benefited From Dating A Wrestler

1. The Bella Twins

When the Bella Twins left the WWE at the end of their first run in the company in April of 2012, it seemed a bizarre decision. Firstly, Brie was almost one year into her, now well-known, relationship with husband Daniel Bryan and, secondly, neither particularly seemed talented enough to succeed in the mainstream in any way beyond their WWE personas. They changed their Twitter handle to simply @nicoleandbri and attempted their hands at modelling and acting to very little success. It's not surprising they would end up returning to WWE after only a year away from the company. Since then, their stock has hit an all-time high, due to the success of Total Divas and their prominent relationships with Daniel Bryan and John Cena, pushed as the main storyline during the initial season of Total Divas. This year, the pair- particularily Brie- have been involved in major TV storylines on Raw, due to the main event push of Daniel Bryan, which was followed shortly after by their real-life wedding. Bryan's feud with The Authority curtailed into a major programme for the Bellas this summer, leading to a series of awfully acted angles of car-crash TV that will end sooner rather than later and an undoubted set of bonuses and royalties from their TV deals, not to mention their continuing relationships with Bryan and Cena. It remains to be seen if the two will ever cross paths in the ring, as well as on Total Divas. Regardless of their questionable acting talent and mediocre in-ring skills, the Bellas status in WWE is at an all time high and is due in all fact and potential fiction to Brie's position as Daniel Bryan's wife.
