10 WWE Divas Who Benefited From Dating A Wrestler

5. Miss Elizabeth

Without question the most famous female face of the late 80s and early 90s in professional wrestling, Elizabeth's prolific relationship with €œMacho Man€ Randy Savage as his on-screen manager and real-life wife led to her being involved in some of the most famous wrestling angles of all time, including being the entire reason for the Hogan vs Savage €œMega-Powers Explode!€ feud that culminated at Wrestlemania V, closing Summerslam '91 with the Kayfabe wedding of her and Savage and the reunion of the two at Wrestlemania VII, which saw one of the most emotional moments in WWE history as Savage lost the retirement match to the Ultimate Warrior and turned face once again. Elizabeth divorced from Savage in 1992 and left the WWF, only to return to pro-wrestling notoriety in WCW, once again as the manager of Savage, leading to another series of prominent storylines, including being a part of the nWo and the valet of Ric Flair for a spell when she turned on Savage. She would enter into an ultimately disastrous relationship with Lex Luger in 1999, which would lead to a series of domestic disputes as a result of Luger's dependency on narcotics. She was beaten by him and ultimately found dead from an overdose of vodka and pain killers in 2003. A tragic end to a life and career glittered with headline moments by Savage's side and a reminder that fame sometimes comes with the harshest strings attached.
