10 WWE Dream Matches That Only Happened Once

4. Shawn Michaels Vs. Goldberg

Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar may very well be the most famous (or infamous) 'once in a lifetime' match in WWE history, but both men had better one-off bouts. That wasn't exactly too difficult, obviously, considering their WrestleMania XX match was a crowd-destroyed pile of, erm, not very good.

Goldberg's WWE run was generally disappointing, and most of it was spent dealing with Triple H, Evolution and those dang sledgehammers. Shawn Michaels, on the other hand, whilst he had similar problems with Hunter and those dastardly sledgehammers, his return and second run would become the stuff of legend.

Da Man and The Showstopper faced off on just the one occasion, when Michaels challenged Goldberg for his World Heavyweight Championship. The match ended in a No Contest, and never happened again.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
