7. A Wasted Spot

Perhaps unsurprisingly, The Bar and Titus Worldwide's Raw Tag Team Championship bout was a nothing match.

There was little to distinguish this contest from any midcard tag found on Raw or SmackDown every single week. Apollo, for all his athletic talents, is an ineffective face-in-peril and an inept sympathy generator, and Titus was weak on the hot tag. Things did heat up as Sheamus and Cesaro switched gears towards the end, but they scarcely had time to draw the crowd in.

This was a wasted spot. WWE hot-shotted a preliminary act into a title shot, and the result was never in doubt. This contributed greatly to the complete lack of f***s given by the audience, who may have been more engaged had WWE served up a stronger set of challengers.

It's not like the company didn't have other options, either. Spare a thought for Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, who, one month after their needless Raw 25 burial, were restricted to a single screen-in-screen segment on the pay-per-view. They'd have no doubt served up a more compelling contest with the tag champs, but here we are.
