10 WWE Entrance Themes That Were Originally For Someone Else

4. Kurt Angle's 'Medal' (Sgt. Slaughter/The Patriot)

Kurt Angle's TNA theme may have been excellent, but even that pales in comparison to the simple majesty of his WWE music. Perfect for chanting 'You Suck' at the Hall Of Famer over and over again, the main beat of 'Medal' is one many cried out to hear Angle emerge to again during his decade away from the organisation.

Kurt Angle must be one of the only modern WWE Hall Of Fame inductees who doesn't actually have music created solely for him. Long before the Olympic Gold Medal winner was even on WWE's radar, Del Wilkes was using the theme during his time as The Patriot in 1997.

Later, then WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter also used the same music for his in-ring run opposite Triple H and D-Generation X later that same year, meaning Angle's iconic theme isn't all his own. In fact, it was stock music that his employers kept on ice for any patriotic character they introduced.

Who could have imagined that the theme would become so cherished in WWE folklore?
