10 WWE Factions That Went From Awful To Awesome
7. The Un-Americans
Lance Storm, Christian, and Test were all residing in mid-card purgatory when they formed The Un-Americans. The group started as a typical anti-American stable with little fanfare or expectation. However, they were soon involved in big angles and won championship gold.
After a month of being portrayed as simple malcontents, the group started feuding with top stars. The team of Storm and Christian lifted the WWE Tag Team Championship from the super team of Edge and Hulk Hogan. They also feuded with The Undertaker, which culminated in a match between The Deadman and Test at SummerSlam 2002.
The Un-Americans also added Chris Jericho as an unofficial member and later William Regal. Jericho was instrumental in helping Storm and Christian win the first of three tag team championships while Regal would team with Storm to add two more tag team championships for the group. Despite their success, The Un-Americans split after some creative changes and Regal’s untimely illness (a heart parasite).
