10 WWE Fates Worse Than Death

7. Getting A Literal Farting Gimmick

Every wrestler under contract prays to the good lord above that WWE higher-ups have something amazing in mind for them. For example, imagine how over the moon Ted DiBiase must've been when Vince McMahon laid out the once in a lifetime 'Million Dollar Man' character to him. Or, picture how chuffed Becky Lynch had to be when ideas for 'The Man' started to properly take shape in 2019.

Poor Natalya had an altogether different experience to those workers.

She was inflicted with one of McMahon’s worst ideas in February 2012. The boss (or some other creative team member) called the veteran over and said they had something new in mind for her. She’d fart all over the place in backstage promos and skits (careful!) as other workers looked disgusted or embarrassed for her. Boy that'd put some butts in (toilet) seats!

Viewers had second hand embarrassment for Nattie, and no wonder. This was rotten, so to speak. She might’ve preferred if had WWE said they planned to kill her off on-screen for good. Living this one down was going to take some doing. Somehow, Natalya has managed to shake off the stink of this gimmick and power forward, but who knows why anyone thought this was a grand idea?

Everyone from Beth Phoenix to Teddy Long held their noses whenever Nattie was around. The Great Khali didn't seem to mind though. He worked a romance with Natalya that also went nowhere. Do the writing staff just pick these things out of a hat and roll with whatever? That's what it smacks of.

'The Flatulence Of Execution' was some gimmick.
