10 WWE Feuds That Must Happen In 2017

10. Bobby Roode Vs. John Cena

Bobby Roode is ready for the main roster. He’s done great work in TNA, and his NXT run have been off to a solid start so far. When he comes to Raw or SmackDown, he doesn’t need to work his way up from the bottom. Much like Alberto Del Rio, he needs to be portrayed as a big deal, and someone who can stand toe-to-toe with all of the top talent in the company upon his arrival.

Meanwhile, John Cena desperately needs some fresh faces to battle once he returns. The biggest opponent he hasn’t already fought on the SmackDown roster in any form is Baron Corbin. Unfortunately, Corbin is still far too green for that feud to garner much excitement. A more than serviceable replacement for the time being would be Bobby Roode.

While the two are the same age (39), Roode feels much fresher than just about anyone on the WWE roster, because he hasn’t been incredibly overexposed over the years. Both him and Cena are pros in the ring, and would likely work well together, and could produce some compelling matches. Just seeing the expression on Cena’s face when Roode’s "Glorious" theme hits would be a sight to behold.

Both guys need this feud, and as we’ve seen, there’s really no reason to keep Roode in NXT. Get the man up to the main roster and put him in some money-making matches, otherwise WWE is guilty of wasting his talent.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
