Not many workers dare to question McMahon's thoughts, and fewer still do so when the WWE leader is already unconvinced that they'd be a good fit for his company. Mick Foley is no regular guy though - he's a self-made success story, and one of the most passionate human beings around.

Plus, he's really good at bumping, and JR knew Mick would work wonders with The Undertaker. That's why ye olde Talent Relations chief headhunted Foley in the first place, but (as you might suspect) Vinnie Mac wasn't exactly sold. He didn't see much other than an out-of-shape brawler who'd been rejected by WCW.

Mick also revealed in his first book that McMahon screwed up his face when Foley suggested alternatives to the original 'Mason The Mutilator' gimmick laid out for him. It was an uphill battle at first, but Mankind was born and Mick became a legend who won Vince's heart.
