10 WWE Hall Of Fame 2017 Inductions That Must Happen

5. The Tag Team - Demolition

How can you have a credible wrestling Hall of Fame without one of the greatest tag teams of all-time? Sure, Demolition started life as a straightforward Road Warriors rip-off act, but Ax and Smash soon developed a life of their own. They weren't as ripped as Hawk and Animal, but it didn't matter: Demolition were far more accomplished between the ropes, and their in-ring versatility gave them the ability to put on a good match with almost anybody.

Demolition's crowning glory came in March 1988, when they defeated Rick Martel and Tito Santana to become WWF Tag Team Champions. They'd hold the belts for a record-breaking 478 days, and while this accomplishment was outdone by The New Day last year, in terms of combined days as champion, Demolition remain at the top of the pile with 698 days over three individual reigns.

They started losing momentum when Crush joined the group to make Demolition a trio, and the long-awaited Road Warriors feud was a huge letdown, but it's impossible to downplay Demolition's impact on tag wrestling. Having The New Day induct them would give the new longest-reigning tag champs some spotlight for the night, but Ax & Smash's addition comes with a huge stumbling block: both men are currently involved in an ongoing concussion lawsuit against the company.
