10 WWE Hall Of Famers Used Underwhelmingly In Later Years

3. Bret Hart (2010)

For obvious reasons, post-stroke Hart wasn't going to be the same 'Hitman' that had captivated fans throughout the eighties and nineties. That didn't stop the company from running a feud between Hart and McMahon based on their Montreal acrimony, with Hart's compromised health never once bearing a mention.

You almost had to expect the slow-pace to their WrestleMania match, but did it really need 11 minutes? For much of the remainder of the year, Hart would be used in stories with The Miz and The Nexus, taking part in matches where obviously his cranium was off-limits. Relegated to a few clubbing blows and the occasional Sharpshooter, Hart performed about as well as he could under the circumstances, but it was understandably hard to watch. Between the 'matches' and reciting warmed-over dialogue from hack writers, Hart for the first time ever looked uncomfortable as a performer.
