10 WWE Hall Of Famers Used Underwhelmingly In Later Years

2. Sting (2014-15)

At long last, WWE had The Man Called Sting in their employ, and fans were legitimately buzzing. His debut at the Survivor Series in 2014 was a heart-stopping welcome into Stamford's world, and the excitement for the next part of the story was palpable. It's a shame that everything that followed Survivor Series was so muddled and self-aggrandizing.

So Sting, this "vigilante", apparently took issue with Triple H for killing WCW (Triple H killed WCW, yep). Thus, he was coming for revenge, and Helmsley, the heel ruler of the Authority, was heroically defending WWE from this (I guess) evil intruder. Sting lost at WrestleMania after enduring a sledgehammer to the noggin, and shook Helmsley's hand out of respect for some reason. The year 2015 may have been Sting's worst year creatively, and The Black Scorpion wasn't even involved.
