10 WWE Heel Turns That Ultimately Failed

9. Jeff Hardy Has Forgettable Heel Run - 2003

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcTMhO8nCeg It looked for a while as if Jeff Hardy was ready to break out into the next big singles star. After the brand extension in 2002, Jeff had the breakthrough performance of the year in a ladder match with The Undertaker for the Undisputed Championship on Raw. Later, his brother Matt turned heel on Jeff and jumped to Smackdown, leaving Jeff on his own. However, Jeff didn€™t seem to be interested in being the next big star. He was going through drug problems and showed a lack of effort in his matches. In January 2003, to possibly give Jeff a boost in his career, the decision was made to turn him heel after he attacked Rob Vam Dam and Shawn Michaels. For whatever reason, the heel turn was abruptly dropped a month later when he saved Stacy Kiebler from Christian. Jeff was put in a match against Chris Jericho at No Way Out in place of Test, and was released a couple months later. Hardy was never a heel again in the WWE.
