6. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross (c) Vs. The Kabuki Warriors

Corey Graves and Michael Cole bent over backwards to talk about how Asuka used to be hard as nails right as 'The Empress Of Tomorrow' and partner Kairi Sane tried to find the fire understandably extinguished by some pathetically disconnected booking over the past several months.

Alexa Bliss hasn't exactly been helped of late too, tasked here with playing about 14 different roles depending on what she was doing at the time. It's testing her mettle, and by the virtue of the Women's Tag Team Titles undergoing partial restoration in her and Nikki Cross' possession, bodes well for whatever happens after the duo dissolve.

And that may be sooner that recently assumed.

Asuka deploying the green mist made for a suitably shocking conclusion to the match and the former Champions' reign. The Kabuki Warriors felt immediately refreshed by the victory, even if it's a touch too early to assume the same struggles won't befall the latest act to try and restore the gold to (only very recent) former glories. Regardless, here's to all four for surpassing the low expectations and lack of company investment with a genuine midcard cracker.
