Months earlier, WWE had produced a swift one-two punch that unintentionally knocked the stuffing out of Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' gimmick and the iconic Hell In A Cell match. Red lighting cascaded down on the scene as Seth Rollins hit a ladder lying on top of Bray's alter ego with a sledgehammer. That was apparently so brutal that the ref...

...had to stop the match.

Fans predictably booed; everyone despised the finish. WWE had booked a non-finish in a match designed to avoid that sort of thing. The apology? Bray and Seth having another brawl in Saudi Arabia with the tacked on stipulation that there must be a winner. That should've been the case at HIAC, lads.

This was the true beginning of a downward spiral for the 'Fiend' persona. Wyatt would go on to job for Goldberg in another match nobody liked, then feuded with Braun Strowman in yet another rivalry that failed to live up to expectations. Bugger.
