10 WWE House Show Matches We Can't Believe Weren't Televised
9. Bob Backlund Vs. Diesel - 1994
Perhaps one of the most memorable untelevised bouts in modern WWE history, Diesel's shocking victory over Bob Backlund for the WWF Championship n 1994 is the stuff of legend.
In the wake of Survivor Series '94, the maniacal, straight-laced Hall of Famer was just three days into his first WWF Championship reign in almost 11 years. Sadly for Backlund, it wouldn't last; the Minnesotan saw his run come to a premature end at the hands of Diesel in Madison Square Garden - the very venue Backlund had called home during his original title run of '78 to '83.
One boot and a Jackknife Powerbomb later, Diesel defeated the newly crowned champ in Backlund's first defence. With fireworks flowing from the ringposts, 'Big Daddy Cool' was crowned the leader of the WWF's "New Generation" - a role he would maintain for almost an entire year.
Lasting just eight seconds, the bout served as the shortest WWF Championship match ever - a record that stood until this year with Baron Corbin's loss to Jinder Mahal. It was the last time the WWE Championship changed hands outside of regular programming or PPV.
