When discussing legends of the wrestling business, two names that are virtually guaranteed for inclusion are Eddie Guerrero and The Undertaker. With outstanding longevity and HoF careers on both sides, it's incredible to think that the two very rarely crossed paths, despite being on the same roster for several years.

While the pair had squared off previously in tag team matches , six-man competition and fatal four way bouts, the iconic performers had never gone one-on-one in singles competition on TV or PPV.

Nevertheless, the first week of August 2005 saw the legendary twosome square off four times on the SmackDown house show loop. The first and last time they fought actually headlined the show too, while the match was presented as a special attraction semi-main to the World Heavyweight Title on the remaining two.

Tragically, Guerrero passed away in November that year, just three months after the house show pairing with 'Taker. Had his life not been cut short, a feud between the two would have been a money making PPV programme for sure. Sadly, those matches will instead remain exclusive to those in attendance on those August nights.
