10 WWE House Show Matches We Can't Believe Weren't Televised
4. Brock Lesnar Vs. Kevin Owens - 2017
Kevin Owens is one of the best new performers to break through the indie barrier and emerge at the top of WWE this decade. A unique individual in both style and presentation, Owens has been a breathe of fresh air amongst the cookie cutter wrestlers who have littered the scene since the mid-2000s.
A staple of the WWE roster in 2017, Owen's vicious style and hardman persona made 'The Prizefighter' an ideal candidate for WWE's other resident prizefighter, Brock Lesnar. Despite the box office appeal of the bout, WWE decided to let the Owens/Lesnar bout play out off-screen.
Having just lost the Universal Championship to Bill Goldberg, Owens had a lot to prove heading into his WrestleMania match with Chris Jericho. Meanwhile, Lesnar had his sights set on Goldberg too, making Owens a natural opposition for 'The Beast'.
With Lesnar en route to WrestleMania to fight Goldberg for the very title Owens had lost, the back story wrote itself. A collision between the two would have made a great addition to any pre-'Mania Raw. Instead, Lesnar and Owens squared off on the hallowed ground of Madison Square Garden, just one week after Owens had lost the title to Goldberg.
