10 WWE Legends Embarrassed By Their Own Matches

7. Ric Flair (Everything In TNA)

Ric Flair told Steve Austin on the WWE Network's 'Broken Skull Sessions' that he apologised to Vince McMahon personally for his entire TNA run. It was all about the money for 'Slick Ric', but there was also a bit of ego in there - he wasn't exactly ready to walk away from wrestling for good in 2008.

Even so, he's ashamed of his work in TNA.

Fans who'd been enjoying red hot up-and-comers like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and others must've thought they were reliving the WCW nightmare when aging relics started popping up all over the place. As good as the likes of Flair and Hulk Hogan were on the mic, they couldn't cut it inside the ring any longer, and they shouldn't have tried.

Ric knows that matches with Hogan, Abyss, Matt Morgan, Sting and more were ill-advised. They did nothing to pepper his already-rich legacy, and in fact diminished his stature as one of the greatest in-ring workers of all time. That's probably why he said sorry to Vince.
