10 WWE Legends Who Had AWFUL Pay-Per-View Debuts

9. The Ultimate Warrior (WrestleMania IV)

WrestleMania IV's 14-man WWF Title tournament is largely to blame for why so many fans regard it as one of the worst 'Mania shows of all time. Quality matches were few and far between that day, and that includes the short sprint between Hercules and the rope-shaking, face-painted, all-energy newcomer The Ultimate Warrior.

As future US President Donald Trump looked on from the front row, Warrior ran through some rudimentary spots and eventually powered out of Herc's Full Nelson hold for the win. This was a curious start for someone Vince McMahon was about to strap a rocket to and fire up towards the main event scene.

Warrior missed some moves (including a Clothesline that Hercules still sold) and just didn't come across as the megastar he'd become down the road. At around four minutes, the match was also inconsequential filler on a show people considered too busy to begin with; 'Mania IV had 16 matches.

Things would improve by the time Warrior mowed down The Honky Tonk Man at SummerSlam.
