10 WWE Legends Who Should Have Retired At WrestleMania
9. Kane (and The New Age Outlaws Vs The Shield) WrestleMania XXX
Kane had a very interesting WWE career, not necessarily because it was good or filled with memorable moments but he did manage to stay around for two decades as a distinctly upper-mid-card monster. He won multiple world titles, feuded on and off with his storyline brother The Undertaker, and seemed like a loyal servant to the company in any role he was given.
'The Devil's Favourite Demon' was also a horrendously boring wrestler at times, which is why he was at his best as part of a tandem. He won tag team gold with a number of different partners, including Undertaker, Big Show, The Hurricane, X-Pac, Mankind, and Daniel Bryan as part of Team Hell No.
This is why it would have made sense for Kane to retire in a tag team match opposite the emerging force that was The Shield, as the 'Big Red Machine' could have put over the faction even more. It would have been quite fitting to see him hang up his boots on the same night his former tag partner won the world title and his brother finally lost at WrestleMania.
More importantly, it would have saved the wrestling world from corporate Kane.
