10 WWE Legends Who Should Have Retired At WrestleMania

As recent news has shown, Vince McMahon has absolutely no idea when to leave well enough alone, which makes it unsurprising that he didn't know when to stop performing as an in-ring talent for his own promotion. The biggest heel in wrestling history should have ended his in-ring career at arguably the greatest show ever, as his character had peaked and no longer needed to get physical with other performers.

WrestleMania X-Seven acted as a series finale of sorts for the Attitude Era, which would have been a fitting place to retire the Mr. McMahon character after receiving the comeuppance he deserved from his own family. Instead, Vince would proceed to perform on and off for the next two decades, including a fight with god, an ECW Championship reign, and an awful, silly match against Pat McAffe this past year.

Now that he is back in control of WWE you can not put it past the deranged billionaire that he may get back into the ring, as the 77-year-old has no self-awareness or creative sense anymore.
