10 WWE Legends Who Should Have Retired At WrestleMania
6. Kurt Angle (and Ronda Rousey Vs Triple H And Stephanie McMahon) WrestleMania 34
Kurt Angle's final run in WWE was marred by the all-time great in-ring performer not being anywhere near his best, and it was clear he had to call it a day as an active wrestler. The Olympic Gold Medalist eventually retired in 2019 when he lost to Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35, but it was hardly the send-off the legend deserved.
When the five-time world champion returned in 2017 he was not being exposed so much in singles action, with a cameo as an impromptu member of The Shield being a particularly memorable highlight. This would extend to a mixed tag showcase alongside the debuting Ronda Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34, which was a surprise hit that should have ended his career.
The match would lead to a stellar year-long run for the former UFC Champion, who drew comparisons to Angle for how quickly she adapted to the world of professional wrestling. If WWE could book his retirement again it would definitely have been a more fitting way to end the Hall of Famer's illustrious career.
