10 WWE Legends Who STILL Aren't In The Hall Of Fame
5. Owen Hart
Owen Hart deserves to be in the WWE Hall Of Fame, but his inclusion is complicated.
While playing the Blue Blazer character, Owen tragically fell to his death before a match against The Godfather for the Intercontinental Championship at Over The Edge 1999. Ever since then, Owen's widow Martha, has wanted nothing to do with WWE.
The entry isn't going to dwell on that; it's about why he deserves a place among wrestling's elite.
For one thing: anybody who saw Hart wrestling in the 1990s assumed he was being lined up for the WWE Championship. When his peers weren't calling him one of the most gifted technical wrestlings of all-time, they were praising the incredible chemistry he had with his brother, Bret "Hitman" Hart, during their epic feud in the mid-90s.
Vince McMahon was so confident in Owen that he gave him the European, Intercontinental, and Tag Team titles over his run. That was during a time when WWE pushed superstars up the card via these belts; he could've and should've been a world champion during the Attitude Era.
Mark Henry pushed for Owen to go into the Hall Of Fame during his own acceptance speech in 2018, but Hart's legacy is now in the hands of All Elite Wrestling, who host a tournament in his honour. At least somebody's celebrating his legacy for now.
