10 WWE Legends Who STILL Aren't In The Hall Of Fame
4. Batista
Batista is the only wrestler to be announced for the Hall Of Fame but still not get inducted. He should've been the headline act in 2020, then the pandemic happened and Dave chose to stay home and wait it out.
It was a good decision because the entire ceremony was cancelled. As the world closed its doors, nobody knew what on earth was happening, but WWE still managed to put on WrestleMania 36 without fans in attendance. They'd gone all-in with The Animal too; his announcement came in December 2019, way earlier than in most years.
With 'Mania 37 going ahead in front of a far smaller group of fans, WWE decided to combine the 2020 and 2021 classes into one big event. Dave was having none it though.
To his credit, the Drax The Destroyer actor requested well in advance that WWE pulled him from the class, so they were able to promote John "Bradshaw" Layfield to top billing instead. Yay?
His run in 2014 warped the minds of a lot of fans. Before the Yes Movement derailed plans and turned him into Bootista, the Animal had been a reliably popular star for WWE. His run to defeat Triple H at WrestleMania 21 was electric; he kept SmackDown afloat for years too.
Batista going into the Hall Of Fame will definitely happen at some point. He's confirmed it, WWE has made it clear that it's coming, so it's only a matter of time before we see a third member of Evolution on that stage.
