10 WWE Legends Who Tapped Out To Kurt Angle

9. Mick Foley - Victory Road 2009

Victory Road 2009 was a disaster, there’s no two ways about it. Sloppy matches, odd pairings, no bouts going over 15 minutes (maybe a good thing) - its failings are myriad. Seeing Angle and Foley share a ring is interesting, mind, even if both are past their prime. More importantly, Mick Foley actually tapped out.

Neither man is in the greatest shape here, but all the same it probably manages to be the best match of the event, with the finish a genuine shock. Foley has a well earned reputation inside the ring and out as a man who can withstand a baffling amount of pain, so it puts over Kurt’s ankle lock to say the least when he eventually taps out. Kurt didn’t need the rub at this point, of course, but all the same, it’s a feather in his cap to be the one man who can push Foley past his limit.

If TNA was good for anything it was these strange pairings you’d never otherwise see (AJ Styles vs. Kevin Nash is on the same card). You wouldn’t rush to watch this one again, but it’s an interesting piece of wrestling trivia all the same.
