10 WWE Legends Who Should Have Won The Royal Rumble But Never Did
9. Chris Jericho
Seems that not a year goes by that Jericho doesn't make a 'surprise' appearance at the Rumble. Not that the fans seem to mind: the pop he received as the surprise No.2 entrant at the 2013 Rumble was simply breathtaking. Jericho is a future WWE Hall of Famer and is perpetually in the title mix, so how come he's never actually won the thing? Well, for the first few years of his career he was always involved with something else. In 2000 he was defending his InterChrisinental Title against Hardcore Holly and Chyna, in 2001 he was battling Benoit in a ladder match over the IC belt and in 2002 he was defending his newly-won Undisputed Championship against The Rock in an absolute blinder. Since then, however, there have been numerous opportunities for Jericho to be the one pointing at the WrestleMania sign. 2010 would have probably been the best time to for Y2J to win the Rumble, coming off of a great year feuding with Rey Mysterio and forming the JeriShow tag team. Instead, the returning Edge won the match. Jericho and Edge faced each other at 'Mania anyway, so why not have Jericho go over? As decorated as Jericho is, he has never won the Rumble and, with his wrestling career winding down, he never will.
