10 WWE Legends Who Should Have Won The Royal Rumble But Never Did
7. Macho Man Randy Savage
Macho Man as a Royal Rumble winner? Oooooooh yeah, dig it! Savage has certainly had his fair share of Rumble moments, despite never winning the thing. His showdown with Hogan in 1989, after the Hulkster accidentally eliminated his Megapowers partner, was one for the ages. In 1991 he no-showed the match, having cost The Ultimate Warrior the WWE Championship earlier in the show. Savage was apparently so scared of retaliation that he fled the building and vacated his entry. The following year Savage appeared to eliminate himself, jumping over the top rope to get to Jake Roberts, whom he had just eliminated. Savage was so wrapped up in the moment that he forgot the rules and he should have been eliminated. The referees and commentators didn't seem to know what to do but Savage went back into the ring and finished fourth. The year for Savage to win would have been 1993. Randy was the final person eliminated by the gargantuan Yokozuna. Savage should have won the match and went on to main event WrestleMania. Savage didn't main event the Showcase of the Immortals and, worse still, didn't even wrestle on the card (he was relegated to commentating).
