With The Miz out of action for the most unusual WrestleMania in history (which is saying something), The SmackDown tag belts were contested in a singles triple threat ladder match that turned out to be a highlight of the entire two-night show. As far as traditional in-ring work that didn't involve time-travel or Metallica, this was the pinnacle.

Miz' partner John Morrison was the MVP, proving he hadn't lost a step in his absence from the company by outworking two of the best to compete in the stipulation. Triple Threat matches lend themselves to stars like these three, as they didn't let the action slow down for a heartbeat.

Uso and Kingston had countless encounters under their belts as part of the fabulous Usos vs. New Day rivalry, yet it was a nice change to see them going at it as solo competitors. (Jimmy more than Kofi, WWE may have forgotten he was their world champion a year ago, but not us!) It was the second-longest match on 'Mania's opening night, and we could have watched another hour of it.
