The Lockdown Era has been a good time for triple threat ladder matches. Upon Sami Zayn's return to TV, he brought back his 'original' Intercontinental Championship, parading the belt around like Shawn Michaels, claiming to still be the true owner of the title he never lost. So what does WWE do? Hang both titles above the ring, and have a ladder match like it's WrestleMania X.

Just when you thought there was no more room for originality in WWE, Zayn, AJ Styles, and Jeff Hardy put on a clinic of well-written, exciting wrestling that you can't help but expect from the three names I just mentioned. It was so fun that I would implore WWE to make this match an annual occurrence - although I doubt they could top the finish to this one.

The crafty Zayn climbed the ladder to bring down both championships having handcuffed Hardy to a ladder on the outside via his earlobe, while Styles could only watch from below having been tricked and cuffed to the very ladder Sami used to retrieve the belts. The crowd reaction to that absolutely genius finish would have been tremendous to watch; how often do we get to see heels outsmart their opponents instead of cheating and running away?!
