10 WWE Main Roster Wrestlers Who Were WORSE In NXT
4. Bianca Belair
Bianca Belair spent four years on the NXT roster between 29 September 2016 and 26 February 2020. During her time with the black and yellow brand, she went from debuting against Aliya on a house show to taking the fight to Charlotte Flair in a weekly show main event.
In NXT, Belair was one of the most popular wrestlers on the roster. She had everything required to become a sports entertainment superstar – undeniable athletic skills, a powerful physique and captivating charisma. However, she never quite captured the NXT Women’s Championship, coming up short against Asuka, Ember Moon, Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley. Belair spent a large part of her NXT run title adjacent with serious fan support that didn’t transition into a title reign.
The EST’s debut booking was subtle but well crafted, allowing her to be integrated gradually into the main roster via an alliance with the Street Profits (Montez Ford being her real-life husband). This allowed new fans to recognise her talent themselves rather than simply being told of her greatness.
In less than a year on the main roster, Belair won the 2021 women’s Royal Rumble match and used her title shot to take the SmackDown Women’s Championship, defeating Sasha Banks in the main event of WrestleMania 37 Night 1.
