7. Razor Ramon Vs Dean Douglas - In Your House 4
"The Franchise" Shane Douglas has a lot of great achievements on his wrestling resume, but let's take some time to talk about one of his least impressive feats in the squared circle.
Performing with the first name Dean, Douglas was set to wrestle Shawn Michaels for the Intercontinental Championship at In Your House 4 in 1995. Michaels however didn't show up, because he'd been "attacked by marines" outside of a nightclub.
This story's legitimacy has been heavily debated, if you couldn't already tell.
As a result, Douglas was just handed the belt. Okay then, great! Guess he can have a nice early night, maybe take a hot show- oh, wait, he's already lost the title to Razor Ramon.
Scott Hall beat Dean for the belt approximately half an hour after he was awarded it, giving The Bad Guy his record-setting fourth reign with the gold. As for Douglas, he'd never be a champion in the WWF ever again.
Not only did this reign give Ramon a nice record, but it also helped move Michaels out of the midcard and into the main event. Douglas set a record too, but not one he's likely to bring up all that often.
