10 WWE Matches That Changed Your Mind About Wrestlers You Hated
5. Brock Lesnar Vs. The Rock - SummerSlam 2002
Brock Lesnar debuted in WWE just after WrestleMania XVIII and began destroying opponents en route to becoming King of the Ring and amassing an impressive undefeated streak. Still, when Lesnar earned at title shot at WWE Champion The Rock at SummerSlam 2002, many wondered if the impressive newcomer was actually ready to be a main eventer. The critics were silenced - and Lesnar became a star for life - when he beat The Rock decisively in a great brawl at the show. The Rock did his best to make Lesnar look like a monster, and the fact that the crowd turned on him (he was leaving to film a movie) in favor of Brock enhanced "The Next Big Thing's" aura - and the aura of the match. By the time the new champion lifted the belt after his victory, any questions regarding whether he deserved his success were put to rest.
