10 WWE Matches We Thought We Wanted To See (Until We Saw Them)
5. Crown Jewel 2018: The Undertaker And Kane Vs. Shawn Michaels And Triple H
Seemingly since the moment he was (kayfabe) retired by The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVI, fans had been clamoring for Shawn Michaels to return for at least one more match.
At Crown Jewel (2018) the WWE Universe finally got their wish. However, 'The Heartbreak Kid's' long-awaited return didn't live up to the hype. In truth, despite featuring four legends who had plenty of history together, the match was horrible.
The contest was a slow-paced affair, their timing was off during several spots, and the whole thing highlighted the fact that these iconic performers were passed their prime. To be fair, Triple H was working with a torn pec.
That being said, even at their relatively advanced ages, these megastars were still capable of putting on a solid performance. It just didn't come together that particular evening.
It was a disappointing final watch for one of the greatest in-ring performers of all-time, but it's ultimately a minor blip when one considers Michaels' overall outstanding body of work.
