10 WWE Matches We Thought We Wanted To See (Until We Saw Them)

3. ECW One Night Stand 2005: Chris Benoit Vs. Eddie Guerrero

Both Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero were known for their amazing work rates and had some outstanding matches together in the past. Ergo, fans knew that when these two men met at ECW One Night Stand, they would undoubtedly steal the show.

Instead, they failed to capture the audience, who were too busy coming up with random chants. For whatever reason, despite having only about ten minutes to work, there was a surprising number of rest holds during this rather slow-paced affair.

Again, as was the case with Styles and Nakamura at WrestleMania 34, the match wasn't horrendous. However, given the chemistry the two had, no one expected this meeting to be so forgettable.

This was an ECW audience who would have likely appreciated the type of in-ring masterpiece these two were capable of delivering. However, on that particular evening in 2005, it just wasn't meant to be.
