10 WWE Mid-Carders Who Never Get The Credit They Deserve
2. Jeff Jarrett
One wrestler who may never get a look in when it comes to the WWE Hall Of Fame is Jeff Jarrett. All reports since 1999 have recanted the same tale, that being Vince McMahon's dislike for Jarrett due to his supposed money-grabbing efforts shortly before departing for WCW in 1999. His synonymity with TNA won't help his cause either.
This is a real shame, because Jarrett's talent sparkled even when he played a hokey, cartoonish heel during the mid-1990s.
As a country singer looking to gain notoriety by ruling the WWF scene, the silliness of Jarrett's quest was overtaken by Jeff's abundant in-ring talent and zest for performance when on the microphone; the 'Double J' character was loathed by WWF fans, and this was genuine heat instead of pleas of 'go away'.
Turning his career a different direction later in the same decade, the chauvinistic character Jarrett played during the 'Attitude Era' alone should give him distinction. It was wholly believable that Jeff hated women, and that's because the guy played his gimmick to the hilt.
Jarrett's unsavoury relationship with WWE means he won't be credited the way he should be any time soon.
