10 WWE Mid-Carders Who Never Get The Credit They Deserve

4. Christian

It sums WWE's opinion of Christian up that he was so often used as someone ideal for putting others over rather than being the top star himself. A lack of size may have contributed to this, although he did become World Heavyweight Champion on two occasions, won virtually every title under the WWE umbrella.

Regardless of becoming a World Champion and boasting a remarkable title haul, the Canadian was regularly cast aside when somebody higher-ups deemed more charismatic or marketable came along.

The current generation of fans may never know just how good Christian was. Press anyone in the know to name a poor match involving the man - whether that be as part of his tag-team with Edge or as a singles performer later on - and watch as they struggle.

Retirement in 2014 was premature and down to injuries more than any willingness to step away from the ring from Christian himself. It's likely he'd still be on WWE TV today had those concussion issues not robbed him of wrestling.

Strangely, he'd probably still be making others look good and working amidst the mid-card pack.
